Do you have a leak? It’s the little ones that can add up to the most consumption…a slow leak can result in a substantial amount of water consumption. Keep an eye on your water bill and note your usage. Does it seem accurate? It’s amazing how much water we can go through…making some little changes can result it a lower bill! If you’re on a well a little leak can run up your electricity…your pump will need to meet the demands of the water leak resulting in more electricity cost.
If you suspect a leak…or want advice on what you can do to improve your water consumption give us a call! We’d be happy to pass along our tips!

We are very excited to be able to provide Bio-Clean to our Grass Valley, CA – Nevada City, CA clients.
From the BIO-CLEAN website –
BIO-CLEAN is… a blend of bacteria and enzymes. The bacteria are natural, not genetically-engineered. The enzyme concentration is the most powerful on the market.
SAFE Bio-Clean is non-poisonous. It creates no heat, no fumes, no boiling. It does not attack live tissue nor inorganic materials, only organic wastes like grease, hair, food particles, paper, cotton & sewage. This makes BIO-CLEAN safe for people, plumbing and the environment. BIO-CLEAN changes the waste particles into water, carbon dioxide and mineral ash which run harmlessly out of your waste system. These elements are then available for plant life. EFFECTIVE Within an hour after pouring the bacteria into the drain, the bacteria begin to eat their way into the waste that has accumulated on the sides and top of the drain pipe. This is their natural food. They digest the waste and spread throughout your system, cleaning it completely.

Craig & Casey pose with a very happy customer who had frozen and broken pipes in Nevada City, CA
Brrr…it’s been so cold and that means frozen and broken pipes for our Nevada County customers. We’ve been at it since Sunday, December 8th, with numerous calls for frozen and broken pipes. The best prevention for frozen and broken pipes is to insulate and run a trickle of water in your sink on nights when the temperature gets below freezing. For more tips please call the office! We’d be happy to share advice with you!
Craig Johnson Plumbing has joined forces with the local Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce. We’re very excited to be a part of our local chamber. They offer so many opportunities for local businesses. We’ve recently been introduced to Yelp by having one 5 star review and one 1 star review. Yelp is a forum for the public to share their opinions about businesses all over the country…even in our little town. I’ve taken some time to add a little bit about our company on Yelp so that people who happen upon this “search” can find us. When you have amazing service you want to shout from the rooftops and tell everyone…same goes if you had a less than ideal experience too. Now what? When someone has something positive to say all is good…but when they want to say something negative to say it can really wreck your day. I’m an extremely positive person and I realize that when people reach out to us for help it’s because they’re having a bad day…so you can either be perceived as a superhero or a zero. We want to make sure that each and everyone of our customers feel like we are ready, willing and able to help them.
When you call a plumber to your home we want to help you so that we can both get on with our day…when we arrive to a home that’s having issues we want to know a little bit of information before we start digging in to the problem. If you have had issues in the past it’s so helpful to share so that we can better serve you…it’s your home and every home is unique…if you honestly don’t know that’s okay too. We don’t mind if you are merely shopping around or if you’re ready to take action and get your plumbing problem fixed. If we can help you we will…we pride ourselves on prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service. We will go the distance to make sure that we help you and that you’re satisfied! Please feel free to contact me, Denise at 530-274-7275 if you need any help or Yelp!

Here’s a little feedback from a recent customer on 8/1/13
Hello Denise,
Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for helping me out with the toilet installation. Everything went well from the toilets arriving on time at Ferguson to the installation, price, etc. I appreciate not having any “hassles” along the way & everything working out so well.
Today the crew installed a backflow prevention device at Eskaton Village in Grass Valley, CA. We worked with the City of Grass Valley and purchased the proper permit and started the job. Currently in Eskaton Village, some of the homes during the building process had backflow prevention devices that were installed, however, they are not to the City of Grass Valley’s current standards and will not pass inspection when sell your home. If you have any questions or concerns about a Backflow Prevention Device…please feel free to contact our office…Our goal is to take the worry out of your plumbing needs!

Who’s your plumber? WE are! Thank you to the folks at Barrett Property Management for their kind shout out in their recent article. We appreciate all of their support!
With the hot summer days upon us, we tend to crank up the sprinklers to avoid brown lawns and weeping plants. If your rental property is on city water (either NID, PCWA, or BVID) NOW is the time to check for water leaks or excessive water consumption.
One easy way to tell if you have a leak in your water pipes is to have your tenant watch the water meter when no water is being used. If the meter is turning, there’s a chance a water pipe could be leaking. This simple step will save either your tenant or yourself from having to pay a BIG unexpected water bill.
Barrett Property Management works with Craig Johnson Plumbing of Grass Valley, CA. Craig Johnson Plumbing delivers fast responses, top-notch work, and reliable services at reasonable rates. They completed a water pipe leak repair on one of Barrett Property Management’s Grass Valley rentals yesterday. We are glad to call Craig Johnson Plumbing “our” plumber!
Don’t be caught with a BIG unexpected water bill this summer. Get your water pipe leak fixed!
