Yesterday we had the pleasure of installing a brand new water heater in a very precarious spot…as noted in the “thank you” we managed to do it with a smile 🙂 Water heaters come in all shapes and sizes…this was definitley a round hole square peg type of situation. Today we received a call from a customer who had a broken pressure regulator valve, this meant that the extreme water pressure in their home was making their pipes moan. The customer called to report his problem, I asked the customer if he knew how to shut off his water, he did, so I had the customer shut off his main water valve until we could get out there to take care of his plumbing issue. I dispatched Dave to take care of his plumbing problem. He changed out the broken valve and replaced it with a new one and they’re up and running again! It’s that easy! If you’re experiencing a fluctuation in water pressure, or noticing extreme water pressure don’t hesitate to call…it could be your pressure regulator (if you have one).

Do you have a sewer cleanout for your Nevada County property?

Have you ever been asked “do you have a sewer cleanout?” Most people pause…and think…and then the response is “I’m not sure”. If you have a sewer cleanout it makes the plumbers job to access your sewer line much easier. We just had one of the most unusual spots for a cleanout that I wanted to share with everyone. Typically a sewer cleanout is located at ground level near the perimeter of the house…this one just happened to be over the garage. We managed to get the job done!

We’ve had a surge in phone calls for broken exterior pipes. Do yourself a favor and take a minute to walk around your home and check that all of your outside pipes are insulated…a little prevention never hurts!
